Today is also the last day to register for October's Holiday Card Stamp-a-Stack, featuring the Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set and coordinating punch.  CONTACT ME to get registered!

I've shared two of the three cards we will be making.  If you missed them you can find them HERE (Gingerbread) and HERE (Reindeer).  The last card we'll be making in the class features Santa.

Isn't he so cute?  Did you notice the new Cable Knit Dynamic Embossing Folder in the background?  I can't wait to show you this in person ... you're going to love it!  The card stock is Crumb Cake and it looks just like a cable knit sweater!

The adorable Santa is stamped in Memento Black ink and then colored with a Blender Pen and Real Red Classic Ink.  The black is from a Basic Black marker "scribbled" onto an acrylic block and colored using the Blender Pen.

A piece of the Candy Cane Lane DSP makes for a great layer behind Santa.  The sentiment is stamped in the Memento Black ink and it's finished off with piece of the Candy Cane Lane Baker's Twine.  This twine has a great metallic read thread in it ... so pretty!

I would love for you to join us for this class.  Hurry!  Prepaid registration ends October 5th!

I mentioned in yesterday's post that the scarecrow image was my favorite from the Cookie Cutter Halloween stamp set.  I love this image because it's not just for Halloween.  This is a great fall image!

The card I'm sharing with you today is one that we made at my Stamp Club last month.

This card started with an 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" Mint Macaron card base folded in half and then was layered with a piece of 4" x 5 1/4" Very Vanilla that was embossed using the new Cable Knit Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  This new folder is amazing!  It is so life-like ... it really looks like a cable knit sweater.  Tip:  I have found that SNAIL (or tape-runner type) adhesive does not work well when trying to adhere card stock that has been embossed with the new Cable Knit embossing folder.  The impressions are so deep that it doesn't get down into all of the crevices.  I used the Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

You can really see the dimension of the embossing folder in the photo above ... and the ones coming up!  On top of the embossed Very Vanilla, I used two different patterns from the Petals & Paisleys Specialty Designer Series paper.  The first piece is cut at 3" x 3 1/2".  Then the smaller strip is 3" x 3/4".  Again, I would recommend using the Multipurpose Liquid Glue when adhering to the embossed piece of Very Vanilla.

The scarecrow was stamped in Memento Black ink onto a scrap of Very Vanilla and colored using the following markers:  Delightful Dijon, Mint Macaron, Rich Razzleberry, Cajun Craze and Soft Suede.  After coloring he was punched out using the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch.  The crow was also stamped on Very Vanilla with the Memento Black and cut out by hand.

I cut a piece of the 5/8" Burlap ribbon, used my Paper Snips to cut between the threads to fray it a little and then adhered it to the back of my scarecrow using SNAIL.  I cut a Very Vanilla oval using the Layering Ovals Framelits dies and stamped the cute sentiment at the bottom using the Memento Black ink.  The crow and scarecrow were then adhered to the oval using Stampin' Dimensionals.

What a fun fall card!  If you love these cute characters as much as I do, you'll definitely want to get the Cookie Cutter Halloween stamp set along with your Cookie Cutter Christmas class!  Registration ends Wednesday, so contact me now to sign up!

I've been sharing cards from the Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set and coordinating punch over the last few days, but today I want to show you some cute ideas for the Cookie Cutter Halloween set that uses the same coordinating punch.

First up are a couple of awesome treat pouches.  Jodi Geers, a fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrator, shared this project at a team meeting ... thanks for sharing Jodi!  Jodi doesn't have a blog, but you can find her Pictorial posted HERE.

Cookie Cutter Halloween Treat Pouch - CASED from Jodi Geers
These sweet little pouches hold a fun size candy bar.  The Hershey's bar fits the best, but the Kit Kat will also work.

Isn't this scarecrow adorable?  I think this is my favorite image in the stamp set.  The pouch is made from Pumpkin Pie card stock and the banners are from the Halloween Night Specialty Designer Series Paper.  The banners are attached using SNAIL adhesive.

The scarecrow is stamped in Memento Black ink and then colored using a Blender Pen and the following Classic Inks:  Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, Rich Razzleberry, Daffodil Delight and Crumb Cake.  After coloring, I punched it out using the coordinating Cookie Cutter Builder Punch.  The crow is also stamped in the Memento Black ink and cut out by hand.  I made a double bow from Linen Thread and attached it with a Mini Glue Dot.  The crow and scarecrow are both attached with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I just couldn't stop after I made one!  For the second one I chose the cute little vampire.  This pouch is made from Real Red card stock and the banners are from Pop of Pink Specialty Designer Series Paper and also the Halloween Night Specialty Designer Series Paper.  Again, the banners are adhered with SNAIL.

The vampire is stamped in the Memento Black ink and colored with a Blender Pen using the following Classic Inks:  Real Red, Smoky Slate and Daffodil Delight.  I used some of the Black Metallic Thread behind him.  I also stamped the bat in the Memento Black ink and cut out by hand.  The bat and the vampire are both adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals.

If you love these cute characters as much as I do, you'll definitely want to get the Cookie Cutter Halloween stamp set along with your Cookie Cutter Christmas class!  Registration ends Wednesday, so contact me now to sign up!
Thank you so much to Jodi Geers for sharing her amazing Cookie Cutter Halloween treats and pictorial!  I think I'll be making more of these!
Thanks for stopping by,
Michelle

Cookie Cutter Christmas Reindeer Spinner Card

Oh my gosh ... this is just too stinkin' cute!  Today I'm sharing with you a spinner card that I made using the reindeer stamp from the Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set.  It's a slider card made using the Sliding Star Framelits.

This card starts with a super simple card layout.  The card base is a piece of 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" Crumb Cake, scored and folded at 4 1/4".  The next layer is piece of Real Red Glimmer Paper cut at 4" x 5 1/4".

Next you need two pieces cut the same size.  For this card I used a piece of Crumb Cake card stock and one of the patterns from the Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper, both cut at 3 3/4" x 5".

Sliding Star Framelits 141820
I used the circle framelit from the Sliding Star Framelits to cut my piece of Candy Cane Lane DSP.  This was mounted on the piece of Crumb Cake using the Foam Adhesive Strips.  I have found that these work a little better than dimensionals since they are a little thicker.

I stamped my reindeer using Early Espresso ink onto Crumb Cake card stock.  His nose was punched from Real Red Glimmer Paper with the 1/2" Circle Punch and adhered using a Mini Glue Dot.  The reindeer is mounted onto two pennies using a Stampin' Dimensional.  The two pennies are attached to each other with a Stampin' Dimensional in between them.  The pennies with the reindeer are then slid into the "track".

This is when the magic happens ....

How fun is that?  I just love it!

I finished the card off with some of the Real Red Candy Cane Lane Baker's Twine and little sentiment stamped in Real Red ink.

I have another card to share with you that's from my upcoming Cookie Cutter Christmas Holiday Card SAS class.  This one features the adorable little gingerbread cookies.

Cookie Cutter Christmas Gingerbread Gate Fold
This gate fold card is the perfect way to show off the great patterns in the Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper that go perfectly with the gingerbread man. This card starts with an Early Espresso card base.  I used two different patterns of the Candy Cane Lane DSP that are matted on Crumb Cake panels.
I used the Layering Circles Framelits to cut a Whisper White circle and stamped my "boy" gingerbread in the center using Early Espresso ink.  This is layered on top a Real Red scalloped circle also using the Layering Circles Framelits.  The two "girl" gingerbreads were stamped using Crumb Cake ink on a scrap piece of Whisper White and punched using the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch.  The bows are stamped in Real Red ink.  (I have a great tip on how to stamp the gingerbread and the bow in my class instructions.  See the end of this post for class details.)  They are so sweet!

I finished the card by stamping the Cookie Cutter Christmas greeting in Early Espresso onto a piece of Whisper White.  I fishtailed the ends with my super-sharp Paper Snips.  Sorry that's so blurry!

My favorite part of this card is the way the two front elements create an interlocking style of closure.  Both elements are adhered with Dimensionals on one side only.  A super-easy way to make a gate fold card with a little "wow" factor.  Here's another picture of how the card opens:

What a sweet, fun card to make!  Would you like to make this card with me?  Here are the details for my upcoming class.  Hurry!  Prepaid registration ends October 5th!
