Dress Up Club Card

Hi everyone!  Today I want to share with you one of cards that we made at last month's Stamp Club.  With Mother's Day right around the corner, I wanted to focus on cards that my club members could use for those special mom's / women in their lives.

I have to admit that I love this card!  And I don't even like pink...LOL!  This card is packed full of product.  The card base is Early Espresso Card Stock with a layer of Whisper White embossed with the Framed Tulips Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  I used the scalloped oval from the Ovals Collection Framelits and embossed it with the Vintage Wallpaper Folder Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  The oval on top of that is in Melon Mambo and is from the Brights Collection Designer Series Paper Stacks.

The sentiment is from the Friendly Phrases stamp set.  I used  Melon Mambo and Early Espresso markers.

Now for the fun part!  The dress is made from from the Dress Up Framelits Dies.  The dress form is Soft Suede.  The dress is cut from Early Espresso.  I stamped the Blooming with Kindness flower in VersaMark and embossed it with both Melon Mambo and Whisper White Embossing Powder.  The "sweater" is Melon Mambo and is cut from one of the framelits.

The ensemble is finished off with a pearl necklace and a couple of pearl buttons.  Isn't it adorable?

So what do you think?  I'd love for you to leave me a comment!

A Few More Retiring Stamp Sets

I found a few more pictures of cards made with retiring stamp sets to share with you today.

First "up", is this birthday card made with the Up, Up & Away stamp set.  I found this set to be so versatile.  Great for men, women and children.  All I had to do was change the colors and worked well for anyone.

This is one of the sets that I will be featuring at my Birthday Card Class coming up on May 19th.

Here's a card made with the Kindness Matters set.  We made this card at one of my monthly Stamp Club meetings.  If features a very cool double embossed technique!

Want to learn cool techniques like this?  My Stamp Club is an "open" club.  That means you don't have to be a member of the club to come and make great projects like this! Click HERE  to go to my Events page.  You can see the events I have scheduled and you can RSVP for Stamp Club meetings and other classes.

And last, but certainly not least...Elements of Style.  I am REALLY going to miss this one!  I have used this set soooooo much.  The images are simply wonderful.

I made this card for my mom for Mother's Day a couple of years ago.  I CASED it from Michelle Zindorff.  She is absolutely amazing!  The photo really doesn't do it justice.

Birthday Card Class

I have finally finished putting together my Birthday Card Class!  It will be on Sunday, May 19th.  This class is going to be packed with great cards and lots of surprises.  You don't want to miss this one!

We'll be creating 12 awesome cards with a lot of retiring stamp sets and products.  The cards will include feminine, masculine, child and general birthday cards.  You'll leave with something for everyone!
Here's one of the cards we'll be making...

The card base is Regal Rose, which is being discontinued as part of the upcoming Color Refresh.  Also being discontinued is the Baja Breeze piece that has been embossed with the Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  I used the Labels Collection Framelits for the Tangerine Tango and Whisper White pieces.  The Apothecary Accents Framelits cut the Floral District Designer Series
 Paper.

Here you can see the stamped image.  The stamp set is Topsy-Turvy Celebration.  I used Rich Razzleberry, Regal Rose, Tangerine Tango, Rose Red and Baja Breeze Classic Ink.  It's hard to tell in the picture, but each layer of cake was stamped on a separate piece of Whisper White card stock, cut out and then adhered.  The flower is punched out of Baja Breeze card stock with one of the punches from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack.  It's then topped off with a rhinestone.

I finished off the card with two little banners or flags using the Bitty Banners Framelits with more Floral District Designer Series Paper.  I also added a Whisper White button with some Baker's Twine.

So are you ready to make this card?  RSVP for my class and you'll make this card and 5 more!  Here are the details....

We'll feature 6 different cards, making 2 of each card design.  You'll go from station to station to complete cards that are simple and easy-to-assemble.

Saying Goodbye to Some of My Favorites

Have you had a chance to check out the Retiring Stamps and Accessories Lists?  I'll bet some of your favorite products are on those lists.  This time of year is always a mix of emotions for me.  I'm always sad to see some of my favorites go, but also so excited to see what's new!  If you haven't looked over the lists yet, there's still time.  You can find them here:

Retired Stamp Lists—Stamps available through June 3, 2013.

Retired Accessories Lists—Accessories only available WHILE SUPPLIES LAST through June 3, 2013.  Dozens of items are at a 25% - 60% discount
See something you just can't live without?  Well, there's still time!  You have a couple of options.  First, you can schedule your own private class or workshop.  By doing this not only will you be able to get all those items on your wish list before they are gone, but you can earn FREE products, too!  I only have a couple of dates available, so contact me today!

Don't have time for a private class or workshop?  No problem, just head to my Online Store while they are still available.

Now I'd like to share with you some of my favorites.  I'll be the first to admit that I am horrible about taking pictures of my projects ... one of my New Year's resolutions that I'm not doing so well with (sigh).  I was able to find a few though.  I'll start with the sets from the Seasonal Celebrations section of the catalog.

This was one of the cards we did at my 2012 Holiday Card Stamp-a-Stack.  The tree image is from Christmas Lodge.  I've actually used this set the last two years at my Stamp-a-Stack events.  I will truly miss it!

Here's another one from the same event.  The stamp set here is Merry & Type.  I went with nontraditional colors on this one.  Speaking of colors, this one features Baja Breeze, which is one of the retiring colors.  Definitely one of my favorite shades of blue!

This card is a couple of years old and has several items on it that have previously retired.  The stamp set is Beautiful Season.  The card stock is Riding Hood Red, which is also one of the retiring colors.  I still miss the Mocha Morning Designer Series Paper, too!

Absolutely one of my favorite sets!  This card features Snow Much Fun.  Isn't he adorable?  I had a lot of fun with this set.

Next up...Greeting Card Kids.  Oh how I love this little girl!

That's it for today.  Be sure to check back soon though because I have several more to share with you!

Thanks for stopping by!
